Have Your Say on Summer 2026 exams

Exams are getting underway across Wales, and Qualifications Wales’ annual Have Your Say on Summer Exams survey is now open.

We are inviting learners, teachers, parents, carers and others with an interest in qualifications to share their views on this summer’s GCSE, AS, A level, and Level 2/3 Health and Social Care and Childcare exams.

Each year, we run a ‘have your say on summer exams’ survey as part of our role to monitor examinations in Wales. The feedback you share helps us understand how the exam series is experienced across the system.

Your views – whether positive or negative – are really important. They help us to identify any key themes emerging during the exam series and provide valuable insight into how exam papers were experienced by those taking them.

By listening carefully to learners’ and teachers’ experiences, we can raise relevant issues with awarding bodies and use this insight to inform our future monitoring and regulatory work.

The online survey is short and should take around 5 minutes to complete. It is available in English and Welsh and includes questions on:

  • whether the exam paper(s) covered the topics studied
  • the level of demand (how easy or difficult the exams felt)
  • whether there was enough time to complete the questions
  • any other comments or feedback

The survey will remain open throughout the exam series and will close a few weeks after the final examinations have taken place, on Friday 3 July.

We will review responses as they are submitted and publish a summary of the findings later in the year, after results have been issued.
