Vocational and Other Qualifications Quarterly: Quarter 1 (January to March) 2026 for Wales
A quarterly release that presents data on vocational and other qualification certifications for Wales for the latest quarter.
Key Points:
- 37,040 certificates were awarded in quarter 1 of 2026. This is a 1.5% decrease compared to the same quarter in 2025.
- Between April 2025 and March 2026, 280,025 certificates were awarded, an increase of 3.0% compared to the previous year.
- Compared to Q1 2025, 8 of the 15 sectors saw an increase in certificates in Q1 2026. The largest increase was in ‘Arts, Media and Publishing’.
- Compared to Q1 2025, 6 of the 10 levels saw an increase in certificates in Q1 2026. Level 1 qualifications saw the largest increase in the number of certificates.
